As part of the Greenstep Foundation’s commitment to promoting sustainable agriculture, a capacity-building session was held for young students. The focus was on the use of vermicompost and biochar soil conditioner as viable alternatives to conventional inputs. Participants were trained about the preparation of vermi-composts and biochars using organic waste materials from their own farms. This hands-on approach not only enhanced their understanding but also equipped them with practical approaches to implement these techniques effectively.

Experienced farmers who were already applying vermi-composts and biochar shared their success stories, emphasizing the financial, social, and environmental advantages of these organic sources over expensive conventional inputs. Their testimonials added credibility and encouragement to the initiative. Young students actively participated in the interactive session, gaining valuable knowledge and skills in compost preparation. This engagement with the youth aimed to ensure the continuity and sustainability of eco-friendly agricultural practices in the region.

The visit to the Organic Fertilizer Farm was a significant step toward promoting sustainable and climate-resilient agriculture in Pakistan. By imparting knowledge, sharing experiences, and fostering local engagement, the Greenstep Foundation is contributing to a greener and more environmentally conscious agricultural landscape.
