Greenstep Foundation team embarked on a visit to an Organic Fertilizer Farm in Pattoki, Pakistan, to explore and promote sustainable and eco-friendly agricultural practices. The event was aimed to educate participants (local farmers and students)) about the benefits of green practices, including biochar and vermicompost, and to encourage their adoption for environmentally conscious Pakistan.
In-person discussions with local farmers provided an opportunity to understand the practical opportunities and ground realities they face. Participants had the chance to visit the biochar and vermicompost facilities, witnessing firsthand the implementation of these eco-friendly theories and concepts. By connecting theory with practicality, the event empowered participants with the knowledge and tools needed to adopt sustainable agricultural practices.
